Third Party Protection Workshop

Location Karate Academy, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 1LZ

Date  Sunday 11th April 2010

Time  10am – 1pm

Price  £25 (£20 for current USP students)

Detail            

A 3 hour workshop covering protection skills for those who wish to be able to look after their children, partners, friends or colleagues in a confrontation.

Subjects will include:

Verbal strategies and positioning
Intervention methods
Physical protection skills
First aid and victim rescues
Dealing with an intruder in your home
Missing loved ones
All of these strategies are easy to learn, so no previous experience is necessary. Techniques will be taught using up to date training methodology and include pressure testing drills and scenario based exercises.

So come and learn to protect what you can’t afford to lose.

Ground Fighting for the Street Workshop

A 3 hour workshop covering ground fighting skills for the street – not the matts.

Subjects will include:

Realistic environment training
Positioning and striking
Defence against dirty fighters
Last resort tactics
Defence against weapons and other ‘non dojo’ threats
Use of the environment
All of these strategies are easy to learn, so no previous experience is necessary. Techniques will be taught using up to date training methodology and include pressure testing drills and scenario based exercises.

At the end of the training session, there will be a friendly ground fighting competition for those who would like to enter, with the prize of 1 months Urban Self Protection training up for grabs.
